
ENGINEERING PHYSICS
The curriculum covers five core areas: wave optics (including interference, diffraction, and polarization); crystallography (focusing on crystal systems, Miller indices, and Bragg’s law); materials properties (investigating dielectrics and magnetic properties); quantum mechanics (introducing wave functions and free electron theories); and semiconductors (examining charge carrier transport and the Hall effect).
Together, the five units take students from the macroscopic wave behavior of light all the way down to the quantum mechanics governing electrons in solids.
